  1. Do you think with heavy makeup and gothic style of costume is an effective technique to bring out the characters to audience? Do you agree that these techniques in German expressionism are overriding the performance of actors/actress since they were only playing a role or character but not as important as those elements for the film movement? Why? Please state your reasons.

  2. The make up of the characteristics is to enhance the misc en scene. And German expressionism styles are distorted bodies, chiaroscuro lighting, gothic setting, oblique camera angle and surreal content.

  3. Great analysis and well related the scenes in each of the 3 movies which influence by German expression. Edward Scissorhands was one of the famous early works from Tim Burton in German expression. Is very informative you all list out some of the movies from him in German expression. If you insert the movie's picture or teaser will create higher interest for readers.

  5. Good job in providing some useful information about German Expressionism movement. Perhaps you may want to add in some visual to help the reader understand more and clearly. The analysis for the films are not very detail and well-explained. A suggestion here, for the film, Edward Scissorhands, maybe you can explain about the exaggerated make-up and costumes Edward has since you have mentioned that.
Mentioned that Gothic looking characters is one of the unique characteristic of German Expressionism.Thank you.

  6. Good research on German Expressionism but you need to add more visuals to give the reader a break from the sentences.
